Caustic Soda, also known as Sodium Hydroxide, is a strongalkali and highly reactive chemical compound. It exists as a white solid in theform of flakes, pellets, or beads, or as a clear, colorless liquid whendissolved in water (caustic soda solution).

The primary application of Caustic Soda is in industrialprocesses, where it is used as a versatile chemical reagent and base. SodiumHydroxide is a key ingredient in the manufacture of various products, includingpulp and paper, textiles, soaps and detergents, aluminum, and chemicals.

In the pulp and paper industry, Caustic Soda is used in thepulping and bleaching processes to break down lignin and remove impurities fromcellulose fibers. It is also employed in the production of various chemicals,such as sodium salts, detergents, and organic compounds.
